, Caritas Diocesana Trieste is organizing a moment of dialogue on the theme:
as part of the Jubilee's educational events.
Father Giuseppe Riggio, journalist and editor-in-chief of the magazine Aggiornamenti Sociali.
In a time marked by fear, conflict, and violent language, there is still room for concrete, vibrant, and shared hope. Not an abstract concept, but a real force that manifests itself every day through acts of care, solidarity, and closeness.
This is demonstrated by young people and groups from across Italy who, over the years, have mobilized to support migrants arriving in Trieste, doctors and nurses during the pandemic emergency, and volunteers who continue to work in areas affected by war and poverty. It is also demonstrated by those in our own city who choose every day to walk alongside people in need, creating bonds that make communities stronger and people less alone.
Even communication can become a sign of hope: communication that chooses the right words—measured, respectful of the complexity of events. A form of storytelling that avoids sensationalism and instead helps us understand, see both the difficulties and the possible paths toward building a more just future together.
All of this will be discussed on , in the meeting with , director of Aggiornamenti Sociali, at the (Via Paganini 6, Trieste).
An open reflection for the entire community titled:
