Call for Proposals 'Good Samaritan Workshop': Diocesan Caritas of Trieste Supporting Parishes
The Diocesan Caritas of Trieste is launching the 2025 call for proposals for the "Good Samaritan Workshop", an initiative aimed at supporting parishes in the design and implementation of charitable projects. The main goal is to help communities grow by promoting solidarity and mutual commitment, with a special focus on vulnerable individuals who often face marginalization and hardship.
These projects will be funded by the 8x1000 funds allocated to charitable purposes, made available by the Diocese of Trieste.
Who Can Apply?
The call is open to all parishes in the Diocese of Trieste wishing to submit concrete projects aimed at building inclusion. The objective is twofold:

- Actively support the most vulnerable individuals
- Strengthen the community fabric through effective and well-structured acts of charity
What Are the Evaluation Criteria?
Projects will be evaluated based on the following four key criteria:

- Awareness: Projects should aim to draw the attention of the local community to the vulnerabilities present in the area through concrete initiatives.
- Involvement: Projects should feature the active participation of various parish groups—not just the charitable group—as a testimony that charity is the mission of the entire Christian community.
- Participation: Projects must enhance the resources and capabilities of those in difficulty by actively involving them in parish activities.
- Communication: Project planning should consider how to promote storytelling and sharing of the experiences carried out, based on the belief that sharing good can generate more good.

- June 20: Deadline to express interest (via email)
- July 10: Deadline for submission of project proposals
- End of July: Evaluation, discussion, and approval of selected projects
- August: Disbursement of the first 80% of the funding
- July 1 – November 30: Project implementation period
- December 15: Deadline for submitting the final report and expense receipts
- First quarter of 2026: Disbursement of the remaining 20% of the funding
Selected projects will receive funding for implementation between July and November 2025. The Diocesan Caritas of Trieste will also provide ongoing support, including meetings to assist with project development and implementation, ensuring that initiatives align fully with the mission of charity.
